disappointing.
bad, it starts processing, shows 1%, 2% and then shows nothing! You are not sure if it stills processing or it stopped. No visual bargraph when processing... disappointing..
Pros:

Cons:
not functionable More

...and another thing.....
Further to my previous posting, I now realise that MS bloats the files to enormous sizes when joining the avi with the srt, so much so that one 700MB file was over 2GB in size post completion. For me, this makes the software useless. More

A missed opportunuty..
This is an incredibly simple piece of software to use, just browse the video file followed by the subtitle file then press the Apply button and you're away. It's not awfully fast, probably about how long it takes to watch the film but it works very well. When complete it gives you a brand new file with the subs encoded whilst leaving the originals as they were, which is a nice touch in case the subs aren't of the best quality (I've downloaded numerous subs files only to find the translations incomprehensible). However, and this is a BIG beef, it appears only to support avi files & doesn't recognise mkv or mp4 formats, which is a great pity as they are usually both better quality than avi and usually smaller. I think that this is a missed opportunity on the developer's part and hope that they rectify this glaring omission in the near future. Nice try but no cigar.
Pros:
Simple to use
Quality finish Cons:
Limited to avi files only More
